How do I dress for the Igloo and/or Sleigh Ride Adventure? |
Please wear a snowsuit, really warm winter
boots, hat and mittens. |
Do you have washrooms close by? |
Our guest can use 2 washrooms inside the lodge. |
How cold is it inside an igloo? |
The average temperature in an igloo is about 0’C. |
How many people can sit inside an igloo for dinner? |
8 -10 guests can fit on the circle shaped snow bench
inside the igloo. |
Is there a fire inside the igloo? |
No. That’s why you need to dress warm. The
fire is outside - beside the igloo. |
What’s on the menu? |
Cream of Squash Soup, homemade bread, Pacific Wild
Salmon cooked over the open fire, potatoes, vegetables
and always a homemade dessert. |
Can you accommodate special dietary needs? |
No problems, if you let us know ahead of time. |
What about alcohol? |
We are not licensed to sell alcohol. However, BYOB
if you want. All non-alcoholic drinks (hot and cold)
are included in the price. |
What else is there to do once we are at Spirit Trail
Lodge? |
You can strap on a pair of snowshoes and try your
luck in the deep powder (4 -6 pairs available), or
whip down our super tobogganing hill with crazy carpets. You
can build a snow man or... warm up by the campfire,
enjoy marshmallows and listen to Charlie’s stories. |
How many people can sleep in one igloo? |
The igloo is designed for 2 people to sleep in. Breakfast
is included in the price. |
What do we need to wear if we spend the night in
an igloo? |
Please dress in layers and bring a warm hat, scarf
and mittens. We’ll provide warm sleeping bags
and extra blankets and pillows for your comfort. |
How many
people can sit on the sleigh? |
A max. of 6 guests
can fit on the sleigh. We can accommodate bigger groups
by splitting the party up into smaller groups. The
rest of the group can enjoy snowshoeing or tobogganing. |
What else is included in
the sleigh ride? |
After the ride we'll
enjoy Hot Dogs, Marshmallows and Hot Chocolate by the
campfire site beside the Lodge. Children can build
a snowman or go tobogganing. |
Are there any age restrictions? |
Horse Sleigh Rides are
suitable for all ages. |

Is there a minimum age? |
Minimum age for all trail rides is 12.
We won’t take people, who are heavier than 250lbs. |
Do we need to be experienced horseback riders? |
No, we have different horses to fit different levels
of horseback riding experience. |
What do we need to wear? |
A closed shoe (best would be a hiking boot with
a heel – NO sandals!!), long pants (jeans),
a hat and depending on temperatures possibly an extra
jacket or rain coat. |
What else should we bring? |
Please bring a bottle of water, sun screen and your
camera. |
How many people do you take out in one group? |
Our maximum group size is 8-10 people. |
Do we need to make a reservation? |
Yes. Please phone in for your reservation several
days in advance. During July and August we recommend to
book in before you even go on your vacation. |
Wagon Rides |

How many people can fit on the wagon? |
6-8 guests can fit on the wagon. We can accommodate
bigger groups by splitting the party up into smaller
groups. |
What else is included in the wagon ride? |
After the ride we’ll enjoy a Hot Dog lunch
by the campfire site beside the Lodge. |
Are there any age restrictions? |
Wagon rides are suitable for all ages. |
Sleep in a Teepee |

How many guests can sleep in the tepee? |
6 guests can sleep in the tepee at the time. |
Can we have a fire in the tepee? |
Yes, there is a fire pit in the centre of the
tepee and the firewood is included. |
Do we need to bring our own bedding? |
If you have your own sleeping bag, please bring it
along. If not, we can provide sleeping bags, pillows
and foamy for you. |
